Patriot Dreams began with a simple idea: America’s stories should be heard, preserved, and shared—wherever you are.
Our journey to create Patriot Dreams began...
during a trip to France in the summer of 2018. We stood on the windswept sands of Omaha Beach, walked the solemn rows of the American Cemetery, and explored the Overlord Museum at Normandy. Overwhelmed with emotion, we made our way through the monuments and exhibits, each whispering the stories of countless men and women who served their country with breathtaking courage and selfless devotion.
We encountered tales of heroism we’d never known—stories so extraordinary yet unfamiliar. Gratitude swelled within us, but so did a pang of guilt. Our lack of awareness felt like an unintentional slight to their sacrifice. In quiet conversations, we reflected on how many Americans, ourselves included, remain disconnected from our nation’s history, too often distracted by divisions rather than united by the legacy that binds us.
How could we become part of the answer? Do Americans know where to uncover and experience the history that surrounds them? Could we transform these stories—American stories—into something both educational and captivating? What about amplifying the voices of everyday Americans whose contributions, though perhaps not deemed “museum-worthy,” deserve to be captured, cherished, and passed down? What if we retold the familiar tales with fresh vigor while shining a light on the hidden ones most have yet to hear? And what if we gathered them all in one place?From those seeds sown in 2018, Patriot Dreams has blossomed.
